Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join their team during their Dynamics 365 (D365) implementation. This role will play a crucial role in optimizing their cost accounting processes through the D365 implementation, ensuring they leverage the full potential of the new system for accurate and efficient cost management.The ideal candidate will bring manufacturing accounting experience (with exposure to cost accounting) and knowledge of Dynamics 365 (D365).

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting
  • Perform regular cost accounting duties, including product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
  • Develop and maintain standard costs for products and services
  • Analyze and report on cost trends, identifying areas for improvement
D365 Implementation Support
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to configure D365 for optimal cost accounting processes
  • Map existing cost accounting structures to D365 modules
  • Assist in data migration, ensuring accuracy and completeness of cost-related data
  • Participate in testing and validation of D365 cost accounting functionalities
Process Improvement and reporting
  • Identify opportunities to streamline cost accounting processes using D365 capabilities
  • Document new procedures and best practices for cost accounting in D365
  • Train finance team members on new cost accounting processes in D365
  • Provide regular cost analysis and insights to management using D365 data
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of cost-related financial reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting
  • Exposure to cost accounting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365ERP system
  • Experience with data migration and system implementations preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
