Medela is seeking an Accounting Supervisor who has the following experience:
Supervisory experience in an accounting related role.
Strong experience in accounts payable.
Strong general accounting experience including month end closings, balance sheet account reconciliations, monthly journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, etc.
Experience with expense report compliance audits & training, vendor master maintenance, AP monthly metrics reporting, and backup for AP processing.
Sales tax processing experience.
At least three years of experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP
Medela's US-based manufacturing and development facility is headquartered in McHenry, Illinois www.medela.comThis position requires an on-site presence in McHenry, IL.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related major preferred
Supervisory experience necessary
Minimum three years’ experience in a staff accountant or related role required
Accounting experience within a manufacturing or distribution industry environment is a must
Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions
Minimum three years’ experience with an ERP system, SAP preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to motivate staff
Experience working in an environment with global objectives
Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English
Position Responsibilities – Accounting Supervisor
Supervises employees by planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Trains and oversees employees
Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed
Supervises Accounts Payable
Timely processing of vendor invoices
Review weekly vendor payments for accuracy
Resolve invoice discrepancies
General Accounting
Assisting with monthly closings
Balance Sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate statements
